Reflections from Friday 10 February Get Together:

Thanks to everyone who attended our first coffee morning which followed the gardening group meeting.

This timing had a few pros and cons:

The Pro:

• It meant only one morning allocated to these activities.

The Cons:

• The fact it was 4 hours meant it was a long morning. It was both a lot to allocate and concentrate.

• It also meant the garden group were obliged to finish up rather than linger.

• It was not as well attended as Monday nights & it was more difficult to ensure phones were off and privacy maintained.

The next general gather will be announced when it has been organised.

Upcoming Events: 

1.Tomorrow - Monday February 20th at 6pm:  

Introduction to the Bible and study of the Book of Revelation which outlines the history, players and the signs to look for, and what to expect in the End Times, including the One World Government, Economy and Religion.

This is designed for non or new Christians.

2. Garden Working Bee this Saturday 25th February at 8.30am:  

Karin is asking for some help in her garden. 

43 Bunya Street. 

Bring gloves, water, hat and secateurs. 

You can bring a plate and stay for lunch. 

Great opportunity to pick up knowledge, catch up with friends, take home some cuttings and display "community" as well!

3. Radio Night Monday 27 February  at 6pm: 

Venue: the CWA room (officially called the Bicentenary Meeting Room) which is ground floor, 1 Bicentenary Lane, across the road from the verandah room.

This will be for our community who have or are committed to getting their radios.

We will be mapping the location of everyone with radios to ensure we are all “in communication” and be trained to test and do wellness checks.

Please RSVP by return email with your physical location if you will be attending this evening so we can make preparations.

Are you looking for a place to park your tiny home/caravan etc?

Do you have land to offer someone wanting to park their tiny home? Make some extra income for rent or exhange for help around your land etc.

CPR Training - Possibly 27 March (?):

Waiting on venue confirmation for the 27th March.

There will be a cost (approx. $70 - $100) per person. Again waiting on providers confirmation.

Can you please indicate if you are interested in attending this training by return email so we know how many to provide for. 

During April we will be doing a “Know your First Aid Kit”  - more on that later.

Seed Saving:

Do you want a good, safe superannuation? Our Community Seed Bank will prove to be our greatest asset in the future. 

Please remember to save and dry your seeds from organic, non-hybrid food plants and hand some of them to Brenda.

She is storing our community seed bank and would welcome contributions.
