Monday Nights Meeting 25th September :
Would you like to be able to speak peacefully with family/friends/partners? Our learned patterns of speech are designed to hide our feelings, to blame, defend and never understand what lies beneath our words. This prevents us from connecting with each
other.
It is easy to change just some aspects of the way we speak and to begin to tell others how we feel and what we need in a peaceful way. This can be done at any time, and with any other person who speaks the same language (English for us in Australia).
By asking questions in a slightly
different way and being prepared to listen to the other, there can be a very different and often surprising result.
Non-violent Communication is easy to learn – children pick it up quickly as speech habits are not so ingrained . Just like learning to live in the present moment it is simple to do but needs practice."
Glenda was recommended by several of our members as part of building our Communication Resilience.
This Monday 25th September at 5.30pm presents : Glenda O’Sullivan speaking on Non Violent Communication.
